Each piece of natural alabaster stone is uniquely veined, ensuring that no two examples are ever the same. Gypsum alabaster is a translucent type of stone composed of partially crystallized gypsum. It is typically found in nodular forms in regions such as Italy, Spain, and Egypt. The outer surface of alabaster nodules often features irregularities, with clay residues and earthy inclusions embedded within the stone. These natural impurities are a hallmark of alabaster, contributing to its distinctive charm.
Born on the countryside
Hidden in the beautiful countryside of the Veluwe, on the outskirts of the small town of Nijkerk, along the A28 motorway, stands Keylight’s eye-catching building. Nijkerk is our birthplace, the ground where we grew from small beginnings to a substantial and leading manufacturer of design lighting. This is the playground of lighting.
